Registration for the Tennessee Governor's Summit on Every Child Outdoors

When: May 11, 2010

Where: Montgomery Bell State Park

Studies document that children who engage in outdoor activities are healthier, perform better in school, have better social skills and self-image, and lead more fulfilled lives. Governor Phil Bredesen and the Every Child Outdoors - Tennessee (ECO-TN) Coalition are pleased to host the first-ever Tennessee Governor's Summit on Every Child Outdoors.

The purpose of the Tennessee Governor's Summit on Every Child Outdoors is to provide an opportunity for decision makers and community leaders to better understand and discuss the connection between youth detachment from the outdoors, lack of physical exercise and increased health risks. In addition, the Summit will offer stakeholders a chance to develop specific recommendations for policy and program initiatives that address each of the ECO-TN Coalition's goals and objectives. The Summit agenda will include national, state and local speakers and panelists.

Registration Deadline is April 30, 2010

Summit registration is limited due to space. Before completing the registration form, please indicate if you have received the non-transferable invitation to attend (your name is listed with the ECO-TN Coalition as an invitee) or if you are an interested individual and would like to be added to the registration waiting list.
